Tobacco kills more people in Michigan than AIDS, alcohol, auto accidents, fires, cocaine, heroin, murders and suicides COMBINED (See below for other interesting smoking facts) Are you ready to quit?

Stop Smoking Program

Focuses on understanding your habit, being aware of your triggers, planning coping strategies, creating a supportive environment, minimizing withdrawal, and food, exercise and maintenance tips.

  • Individual  Counseling Sessions
    • Counseling, instruction, behavior modification, encouragement and follow up. Self-help materials are also available at no charge.
    • One to four sessions by appointment.  $15 per session (low income individuals $5).
    • Nicotine replacement, such as patches, gum, and lozenges, are offered to low income individuals after attending educational sessions.
    • Clients will be contacted on a regular basis for follow-up care.
  • Group or Worksite Sessions
    • Four to six sessions over a three-week period.  $50 program fee (can be paid in weekly installments).
