Volunteer OpportunitiesVolunteers Make the Difference!Volunteers are an essential component of our services. We reach over 15,000 students and other community members with prevention programs and support over 300 families facing cancer every year. Volunteers of all ages are needed. How do Volunteers support families facing cancer?Staff members match Patient Support Volunteers to help meet client needs. Some of the more common activities are:
Patient Support VolunteersPatient Support Volunteers are asked to complete an application form. A personal interview is held with our Client Services Coordinator to screen, train, and place volunteers. The length of training varies depending on each volunteer's background. Cancer Services staff trains and supervises individuals as Clerical Helpers. PALS or Partners As Life Survivors What other ways do volunteers assist Cancer Services?
